Trainee Business Development Executive

Reporting to: Sales Director
Salary: £20,000- £50,000 OTE
Hours: 37.5 hours –per week

Up to 31 days holiday (including Bank Holidays); flexible working pattern in an informal culture and a strong positive team ethos: training and development, membership of the Institute of Sales Management and the opportunity to achieve formal sales management qualifications. Purpose of the role
The Trainee Business Development Executive role is a developmental one which includes gaining practical sales experience, mentoring from a Senior Business Development Manager and progression to a professional sales role.

The Role
Trainee Business Development Executives will concentrate on generating new business sales opportunities for telecoms, cloud, mobile and internet solutions

Learn and apply a range of business development skills
Following a thorough induction and orientation, Trainee Business Development Executives follow a clear 12-month development plan. Throughout the process each will be coached and mentored by a senior sales professional and given regular feedback on progression.

0 – 6 months
At the beginning of the structured programme you will be responsible for identifying and opening new business opportunities. Your activity will be aligned to a specific geographical territory. By following up on targeted marketing campaigns you will contact potential new clients and book face to face appointments for the sales team.

6 – 12 months
You will move into a field-based role and be mentored by a Senior Account Manager. Focusing on business development with existing accounts, you will identify opportunities to create new business, up-sell and cross-sell products, proactively growing revenue streams.

After 12 months you will choose your own career path, with the option to become a Business Development Manager or Account Manager working on specific verticals or product sets. You will work autonomously and sell Pinnacle`s product portfolio through face to face business meetings.

Institute of Sales Management Qualifications
During the first 12 months you will be fully supported to achieve your Level 3 Certificate in Sales and Marketing.
The course is delivered via eLearning with mentoring support and covers key topics including understanding influences on buyer behaviour and the Law and ethics of Selling.
